Bespoke Botanical, rural craft plants, and foraging walks
We would be delighted to connect you to Gill Fairweather and Lesley KilBride, cofounders of the Applecross Walks and Traditional Crafts Group.
Gill and Lesley have been running ethnobotanical walks and events in Applecross for the last fifteen years and will happily share their knowledge and enthusiasm on a two and a half hour stroll around our local habitats.
Gill has worked at the Edinburgh Botanical Gardens and as a field botanist on numerous plant collecting trips to south east Asia. She will introduce you to our local flora and delight you with tastes from the wild food supermarket on our doorstep.
Lesley, a crofter and weaver…………adds her wealth of knowledge on medicinal plants, woodland craft materials and natural dyes to make this a fun informative.
Walk suitable for all members of the family.

Eagle Rock ApplecrossAh Dennis Gilman. I wish you and your lenses had been here this morning. Spotted my first ever pair of ptarmigans, just pottering about - morning walk up the hill. Had no camera with me. Watched them for ages though. Early walker catches the bird.:)..1 week ago · 1
