Attadale Gardens and Woodland Walk

21 miles from Shore Street, Applecross.

Baron Schroder spotted this ideal location for rhododendrons, azaleas and specimen trees and constructed meandering paths through the woodlands . The Gulf Stream moderates the cold, and this garden is sheltered by the hill and steep cliffs

Lochalsh Woodland Garden

37 miles from Shore Street, Applecross.

Take a loch-side stroll past Mature Scots pine, oaks and beeches with developing collections of bamboo, ferns, fuchsias, hydrangeas and rhododendrons.

Considerable restoration in the past 20 years, has yielded a rejuvenated sunken garden, and a vegetable and herb garden as well as much older paths. Candelabra primulas, iris, giant gunnera and bamboo grow in the water garden. Two thousand trees and unusual shrubs have been planted.
