Many people have fantasized about running their own restaurant: Now is your chance! Jon Glover, who with his wife Elaine and their committed team, has restored the Applecross Walled Garden to its former glory and who runs the Michelin Recommended Walled Garden Restaurant in the Summer Months, is also a fisherman. Jon and Elaine are committed to sourcing as much of their produce locally as possible. Jon spends a few days each week out on DJ Youngsten’s fishing boat.

You will go out and catch what you serve, pull up a leek or a tattie from the walled garden, prepare it in the kitchens with Jon and his staff – on the clear understanding that YOU are head-chef, but with them on hand to help – and then serve your meal in the restaurant. The village will be invited to dine for a tenner each.

Michelin Chef local boy Robbie MacRae will pop up to Eagle Rock  to share his experiences and learnings from working for Marco Pierre White, Michel Roux and Running the Michelin Star Royal Oak in Surrey for several years before he came home to be head chef at the Applecross Inn.
